I made a new friend last weekend (at Coachella)
Two Margaret Kilgallen fans walked into the #icycaps show and fell in love with a photograph. Thanks @tempster_returns (at Rapt Studio)
Oh, and Ray Parker Jr showed up @fingerprintsmusic @st_vincent @republicrecords #LongBeachLovesSTV #Ghostbusters (at Fingerprints CD & Record Store)

I kept trying to freeze time and take in every moment of the St. Vincent show last night. But it wasn’t working. It felt like it was flying by as it was happening. There was absolutely no letting up, no gaps to come back to reality/earth and gather your feelings and realize what was happening or that it was really happening at all and not all some cosmic future lucid dream I was going to wake up from at any moment. This album is a monster live. Older songs sound better than ever: Laughing With a Mouth of Blood, Chloe in the Afternoon, Your Lips Are Red, Marrow. New songs like Rattlesnake, BRING ME YOUR LOVES, Huey Newton, Prince Johnny, PIETA, might as well list them all; were electric. Watching videos from the tour prior to last night, I enjoyed the choreography, in that, I love when an artist tries anything new and puts themselves out there, takes a chance. But you don’t really get the full effect and impact of the music to go along with it from a youtube clip. Live it just goes hand in hand, naturally, it’s perfect. The show was perfect, absofuckinglutely perfect. I am never happier than when I’m watching St. Vincent/Annie Clark live. It fulfills something that I never realize is missing in my life until I go to a St. Vincent show: Pure joy.
This pretty much sums it up.
